Teddy Bears Amass at the HK Ritz-Carlon to Line Up for New World Record

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Hong Kong and kids fashion brand Nicolas & Bears are collaborating to host a charity afternoon tea event to form the world's longest line of teddy bears on December 30.

They will attempt to set a new Guinness World Record by queuing thousands of teddy bears on the hotel's 102nd floor, 420 meters above sea level.

The afternoon tea menu will adhere to a teddy bear theme, offering selections such as teddy bear macaroons, cookies and lollipops. Guests that day will have the chance to purchase from a limited-edition series of Nicolas & Bears teddy bears. All proceeds will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which works to give children battling serious diseases the courage to go on living.

Tin Lung Heen, the hotel's Chinese restaurant, will host a mini-exhibit in a private room on Kelly, who recently underwent brain surgery to remove a tumor with the support of Make-A-Wish. There will be over 30 pictures drawn by Kelly on display, and all proceeds here will also go towards a donation.

Pierre Perusset, the hotel's general manager, said he is quite honored that the Ritz-Carlon can collaborate with Nicolas & Bears. He said that giving children happiness by taking on the Guinness World Record holds great importance, and he hopes to encourage people to actively engage in charity work and make a contribution to society together.

The afternoon tea will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on December 30. Admission is HK$498 per person, with a separate service charge of 10%. Each guest will also receive a miniature limited-edition Nicolas & Bears teddy bear.
